Much of the water carrying for manipulating the public is performed by media companies. This is understandable. Media companies’ cash flow comes from advertisers that pay to use their networks to deliver propaganda to audiences media companies build.
This article in Atlantic Magazine years ago explained the tactics used to manipulate the public globally to buy diamonds, basically worthless pieces of carbon. Japan is cited as one example of the successful manipulation of an entire nation to substitute history with carbon trinkets.
There is huge money and power in manipulating the public. Media companies, their corporate clients, and the administrative state are the beneficiaries.
If you want to
get some idea of the impact on you, ask yourself how you would run a
world in which only useful products that actually last were sold.
Imagine cars that last 20 years or more and that anyone could repair,
clothes that were well made, durable and utilitarian, and basic high
quality food grown without chemicals, genetic modification, or
drugs. The entire economy would likely be smaller, and the
hustle, lies and BS that is takes to keep the show we live in now would
have less value. It’s pretty hard to describe a depreciating
purchase that will fall apart over time a valuable experience, unless
you can describe change for change’s sake as a good thing.
That issue is never discussed, we are simply sold on the idea of
progress, which if you actually think about it is a questionable
idea. As an example, cars that are designed to last a few years,
suck up huge amounts of money to keep running, and that you don’t own
the technology in is progress?
POINT
THE USE OF MONEY AND POSITIONS OF POWER TO MANIPULATE AND CONTROL PEOPLE IS A PROBLEM. CORPORATIONS ARE THE SHEEPSKIN HIDING THE WOLVES, AND LEGAL DECISIONS LIKE DODGE vs FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS ONE OF MANY JUSTIFICATIONS THEY USE FOR THEIR BAD BEHAVIOR.
Even with
minimal oversight corporations will continue to push the boundaries
further and rig
the laws, use tax havens to abuse the system, and bribe the
courts.
If a person injures, maims or kills another person they are in big trouble. Yet corporations can undermine and destroy vast swaths of people in nation and escape liability. Think tobacco companies. They are a classic example of the problem. Yet corporations are simply pieces of paper and a bunch of shareholders. Many of them could do with some post term aborting or burning at the stake, given their behavior.
In supposedly free countries propaganda depends on media dominance. Alter that dominance and propaganda can be turned against the propagandists. To give you a small example of how propaganda and manipulative advertising can be turned against its purveyors, Vox reports a story in which you can watch the Superbowl ad by Ram trucks where RAM uses a quote from Martin Luther King to create a good feeling about their trucks (the second video in the article). In contrast the first video in the article has audio in which Martin Luther King says what he thought about advertisers manipulating you. Try selling a truck with a well-respected leader like Martin Luther King pointing out what a crock advertising is. The smart person is actually the person who has an old truck and keeps it running, not the other way around.
The good news for citizens is the fact that propaganda and manipulative advertising exposes those who deliver it. Given the fact that not one nation on earth seems to have an idea of how to build a sustainable society with limits on endless war, mindless consumerism, carnivorous capitalism, free markets, and moral responsibility, it looks like propagandists will provide a target rich environment for people who think for a long time to come. The people they pay to carry their ads however, will panic at threats to their revenue.
In fact, imagine creating car ads in which facts are stated:
“You
don’t need this new vehicle and the debt it buries you with. Buying a
new vehicle will not show how smart you are, rather it shows you can be
sucked into wasting good money on a disposable piece of junk that
instantly drops in value the moment you sign the title papers.
As car manufacturers we will whine and snivel to get your government to
bail us out when we screw up and then stiff you and other taxpayers for
the debt. We will move our manufacturing facilities to countries
where the workers are so poor and desperate we can pay them a hell of a
lot less that we pay you and we will hide our profits offshore because
we have paid off enough lawyers to figure out how to do it within the
laws we hired lawyers to manipulate in the first place. Forget
fairness, justice, and loyalty, justice is simply a carving on
courthouse while we have paid off everyone that moves so they cover our
ass. And oh yeah, we can suck in foreigners to want to be just
like you
so bad they will overlook the fact they are being screwed too.
For the final icing on the cake we own all the software that runs our
depreciating piece of crap and at any time we can make it so that no
one but can us can service it at ridiculous shop rates. Oh,
did we forget to tell you that we now have software that can make sure
the entire vehicle declines in reliability at just the right time to
force you to buy another one so our shareholders can make more money
and as our brothers in crime at Volkswagen have shown, can falsify
emissions data on the fly? Tada! In one last piece of
scumbaggery, did you know our electronics record everything you do, and
soon will be able to measure your emotions and responses, and we will
bury your consent for us to do that in our purchase agreement you never
read which even allows us to give it to the government without
restriction?
AND FOR THE CHORUS IN THE BACKGROUND MUSIC:
Be a patriot and buy American you suckers. Be a patriot and buy American you suckers. God ble$$ America and buy American you suckers.
The
thousands of people who know how to create compelling content on
YouTube have the skills to be tremendous force of change if they create
content that flips the narrative advertisers, politicians, and others
use to manipulate and control the public. Doing so has the
potential to become an entirely new career path outside of
YouTube. Moreover, with some imagination it can be monetized. Of
course YouTube will save the world from you, so ditch them and use your
brain to come up with something better.
This is one of the main reasons there is an all-out effort to control the internet and prevent free speech. The blocking tactic is to create organizations that supposedly decide what is real and fake and if something can be branded as fake it is taken down or the people who talk about it are made out to be liars, foolish and belittled, even if what they are talking about is true and simply branded as fake to undermine its validity.
Think of the difficulty of convincing others someone is a witch without a source like the Bible giving credibility to the whole idea of witches. The idea that books such as the Bible convey the words of a supreme being supports the idea witches can be horribly persecuted, even though the idea is absolute and total nonsense.
With no
surprise, the
greatest public manipulators are also member of the organization
supposedly responsible for deciding what is fake news
including Facebook, CNN, and Google and other media companies. However
there is zero need for fake news except by propagandists and
manipulators. History and their current behavior provide enough real news
and information to completely undermine any narrative the mainstream
media, corporations and politicians may provide. They are so used
to living waste deep in their own hubris and bullshit they can't even
notice the smell.
Use your imagination for a minute and ask yourself this question “If I ran a media empire and could demonstrate to advertisers, politicians, and all of the shades of government, that my media organization can completely manipulate the public into taking whatever action my media empire directs over time, how valuable would that service be?” The answer to that question is all you need to know to understand what is happening today. Also consider the fact that the only people this service would be valuable to is corporate bullies, liars and manipulators, and the politicians and legal system similarly infected. The viewing audience are all victims.
Big bucks, big power. The good news is, think football, Vince Lombardi, Bill Belichick. Every team has a playbook which can be studied and learned and every team can be beaten.
“On a team, it’s not the strength of the individual players, but it is the strength of the unit and how they all function together.” - Bill Belichick, Coach of the New England Patriots
“People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defenses, or the problems of modern society.” - Vince Lombardi, former Coach of the Green Bay Packers
You may not be able to directly attack politicians and the bureaucracy supporting an entirely corrupt cabal other than by voting every few years, but you can damage their supply lines daily, which is their cash flow. That is a simple matter of strategic saving and curbing your spending. There are no laws that say you must buy anything, and almost everything you buy goes down in value while savings go up.
America was founded on the colonists’ REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE, not theory, that corrupt governments and businesses are bad for them. British rule in the colonies was a perfect example of corrupt governance, corporate exploitation, and abusive military tactics. Over time the colonists had enough and would no longer put up with it and ran all of them off by force of arms.
There are no surveys today that say Americans trust politicians, bankers, lawyers, judges and corporations. They are the equivalent of the British abusers of the colonies. Whatever trust there was has been in steady decline for years. American citizens know none of them can be trusted (over 1 hour long) and woke comedians routinely joke about it.
Surprisingly, China is bucking that trend. Ask yourself how the government of an entirely communist country which the American press and the US Military regularly demonize is trusted more by its citizens than people living in the United States trust their government. One reason has to be the fact that Chinese policies are creating upward mobility (think money) for a huge swath of the population. Call it the anything is better than it was syndrome.
If you want to understand American immigration policy driven by US corporations you only have to think of citizens run into the ground in the country they came from, landing in America and thinking anything is better than it was at home. That is until America becomes just like their birthplace, which major corporations and politicians are moving along nicely. In the meantime American companies and corrupt politicians will have a good run exploiting them and the Democrats will try to rig elections using them to secure a long run for their party. Good system.
Offering
upward mobility for the oppressed works and is one heck of a
motivator. Go to a mall where there are a lot of new immigrants
and you may see them excitedly shopping. I wonder how long it will take
to bury them ass deep in debt. You may have to refer back to the
Atlantic Magazine article on how long it took DeBeers and J Walter
Thompson to screw over the Japanese, and the Japanese even had home
court advantage. In the away game, the immigrants being flood
gated into America are even more exposed, and they are more of a threat
to America’s future because they will only protect their illegal
presence rather than the ideas the nation was founded on. They are
certainly not going to argue to protect America’s borders, or the
Constitution. The failing state of affairs and corruption in
America offers too many benefits to them, and anything is better than
the conditions they left.
There
is also a completely legitimate question of why the illegal immigrants do nothing
to reform the country they are fleeing. The are a lot of
possibilities, but one is the fact that they have lived for so many
years under the subjugation of a corrupt government and the rich that live in separate communities, and the super rich that infect the economy with a level of control and manipulation that stifles growth and advancement,
making the majority feel powerless. If you want to live in a
country like Mexico where the drug gangs are in charge, there are a lot
of politicians who would like to convince you they will take care of
things. Not one of them is the equivalent of the least of the founders.
"That
tyranny has all the vices both of democracy and oligarchy is evident.
As of oligarchy so of tyranny, the end is wealth; (for by wealth only
can the tyrant maintain either his guard or his luxury). Both mistrust
the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms. Both agree too in
injuring the people and driving them out of the city and dispersing
them." - Aristotle in Politics (Benjamin Jowett
translation, Chapter 5)
Another
is the fact that the immigrants were not armed. If the only people in a
nation that are armed work for the government and receive some sort of union or other organized protection, constant
employment, government pensions and health care, you have the makings of a
standoff. The only real question is will the people that have
become puppets for a government job and a mortgage stand for the continued abuse of their
fellow citizens? They clearly are doing so in places like Mexico.
There is not a chance in the world the current political parties, the corrupt corporate state and legal system will prevent America’s decline on its present course. There is too much greed, lack of character or integrity, and a total lack of accountability to do so. Bombing the shit out of everyone else and pretending you are the world’s cop does not work and it won’t divert attention from the problems for very long. Just ask Americans living in communities suffering from an abusive police presence to understand how well that works.
When
corruption and the public’s awareness of how widespread it is rises to
the point that it is a threat to citizen’s future they will do
something about it. The founding fathers understood their
creation could eventually become corrupt, and took steps to ensure the
people of the nation they all collectively built were in a position to
reclaim the Republic they all fought so
valiantly for. To them, ensuring the colonists were armed was the
solution. The colonists certainly did not believe waving hankies and
speaking loudly would accomplish much. Imagine if all of the
people fighting against armies in any conflict were forced to throw
vegetables and rocks, how long the conflict would last. Look at every
form of conflict in countries other than America and ask yourself how
long their corrupt governments would stand if their citizens were as
well armed as Americans are, as determined as the Grandma in the news
link below, and just as angry. There are those that suggest state
governors organizing the militia to get rid of a corrupt federal
government is one of the founding fathers backstops against
tyranny. What a crock. One set of crooks going after the
others. Nope. Its the people of the nation and no one else.
“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms...the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. it is it’s natural manure.” – Thomas Jefferson
“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subjugated races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subjugated races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let’s not have any native militia or native police.” -Adolf Hitler
“All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party.” – Mao Tze Tung
“One man with a gun can control 100 without one.” – Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (questionable attribution to Lenin)
"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every country in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops." - Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution, October 10, 1787
Many Americans believe in the founding fathers and the Constitution as written. While it is certain reasonable people are horrified by gun violence, it is far from the leading cause of death. Since we know what the leading cause of death is, why are we not attacking food companies, tobacco executives, or the hustlers of sugar? Or the companies that would replace Americans with foreigners, or that refuse to pay taxes and hide their money offshore, or lie through their ass about products that will kill you?
Is a child driving drunk or being in an accident with a drunk and dying any less painful? What are we doing about the easy sale of alcohol? Or what about the millions being killed by various drugs? Is the slow death of loved ones less objectionable because you have time to adjust? We can find the drug sellers if we really try. How many parents know or suspect their children are involved in some way in drugs and feel powerless to do anything about it, especially with the system the way it works.
Or what about living in one of the conflict zones America and its allies bomb to pieces and their entire neighborhood is destroyed? Do you not think those people have every right to be as upset with the quick and violent or slowly starving death their loved ones experience daily?
This is not an argument for armed insurrection, nor is it intended to question the idea that an armed populace comes with significant risks, as the mass shootings occurring in the United States illustrate. There is also no good argument for using violence against a corrupt government with the military and police forces they have built up that can be seen as any kind of win win deal for the general public.
But the
fundamental character of a public that understands a nation is built by
independent minded, free thinking individuals who try to be fair and
when all else fails, have the ability and the guts to take it upon themselves to do something about
using whatever means possible, is irreplaceable. To get that you only
have to see the news report in the link about Grandmas with guns
to see how many Americans feel about their right to defend themselves
and their property. In the link a 65 year old Grandma with character
and
the knowledge she is being violated made her step up and do something
about it. The NRA had nothing at all to do with that Grandma's
independence and guts and anyone who says they did is a liar. The
founding fathers did.
Grandmothers like that have the DNA of those who built the nation and are not some lilies wringing their hands waiting for the police to show up or a bunch of delusional hopefuls who trust their government, no matter what party affiliation we are talking about, to take care of things. They have had many years to prove otherwise and have failed completely.
Those that suggest Americans should copy Australia’s gun laws completely miss this point. The colonists kicked out a corrupt government and replaced it with the best system they could design while recognizing the fact that it could eventually become as corrupt as the British system they tossed out. It has and most Americans know it. Australia’s Ambassador to the United States pointed out this observation when comparing Americans to Australians. “Australia and the United States are completely different situations, and it goes back to each of our foundings. America was born from a culture of self-defense. Australia was born from a culture of "the government will protect me."
I would like to rejigger the Australian Ambassador’s description of the colonists to more pointedly illustrate the truth of what he is saying :
Few Americans trust the government or the bureaucracies they create for good reason. It has been proven time and time again neither the government nor the bureaucracies they create will protect citizens jobs, their health, their right to privacy, shield them from banking and financial system fraud, the nation’s borders, and they will not protect them from spying. Shall I go on?
Separating the people of a nation from the right to run it and defend it is a con job. There are only a few hundred thousand people at most in the world who attempt to run everything, which they falsely believe they are entitled to do. Add to that hundreds of thousands of bureaucrats feeding at the teats of the government cow or the company mommy, none of whom will exchange their comfort for liberty and you have the makings of a mess. However when it comes time to fight and defend the land, then the common citizen will be called up for duty, and there will be no question in the value of arming an unarmed populace at that time.
Regarding the question of American citizens being incapable of rising up to reclaim their Republic, one only has to consider the military industrial complex’s propensity for military overreach and expanding the American economy through foreign intervention. They have had to train millions of soldiers who remain well trained veterans in retirement. Regardless of what side of the gun debate you are on, an armed population, with a huge number of people well trained in military tactics and equipment, with a strong sense of independence and total disbelief in the institutions surrounding them has to be considered. The issue here is not one of bearing arms, it is one of bearing character. Propaganda makes the enemies out to be in foreign lands. A great many people who serve come to figure that out to be a load of crap. Now the only real issue is looking inward at the liars claiming otherwise.
Tens
of thousands of law abiding and gun toting grannies who know the
difference between right and wrong and are not afraid to stand up for
right are worth more than the millions looking for a free ride and
unwilling
to do anything about it. Talk to them if you want to understand
character.
Problems
the founding fathers may not have completely understood is what happens
when the tyranny of government leads to corruption and greed spreading
through all levels of society, from corporations that corrupt the laws,
a corrupt judiciary that supports corporate corruption, churches that
abuse their flock, and the use of propaganda to deceive the entire
nation.
At that stage of tyranny one needs more than guns. One form of protection against tyranny everyone has available is independent thinking, imagination, creativity and the weaponization of money. To their credit, the Jews have effectively adopted that strategy among a number of others to advance their place in the world, and they punch way above their weight class in just about every category.
The Jews are, if not the smartest, are among the most accomplished races on earth. One of their overriding strengths is their judicious use of money. And they are doing everything in their power to prevent Americans from using any part of the tactic. In so doing, AIPAC connected organizations that back politicians must have greased the entire government of the United States to help them out.
Russia is a
piker compared to Israel. In fact, as shown in the former link Israel
can attack the constitutional rights of every American and the
spineless traitors elected to defend Americans will pull a Judas and
sell them out for a few shekels.
“Money has no motherland; financiers are without patriotism and without decency; their sole object is gain” - Napoleon Bonaparte
If you do not learn the intricate details of the game you are in, like it or not, and know your team and those you play against, you will go home a loser.
Think of it as the New England Patriots being able to drain opponents’ financial resources, smash their players’ fingers and toes with hammers, and throw “go blind dust” in their eyes. The Patriots would reign supreme forever, with Brady throwing passes from a wheelchair while drooling on his shirt.
A nation is about everyone alive now and that will be born in the future. The nation is obligated to ensure that everyone prospers and benefits in it. Income equality is unacceptable other than as a temporary condition. The following questions are simple gauge of that reality. Words and promises are meaningless:
If the majority of these questions are not answered satisfactorily to your benefit then you can conclude you are living in a propaganda house of mirrors designed to strip you of everything except for the requirement to shop until you are broke, work until you are run out of time and when you are no longer useful, lose your last dime to a corrupt financial system and retire in debt, fearful for your health and security.
You can do something about it without ever having to fire a shot or get sucked in to violent behavior which these corrupt thugs have structures in place to defeat. The mid-terms showed motivated people will vote. The problem is it was a vote to exchange your dirty underwear with someone else’s.
Couple the enthusiasm used in the mid-terms to target corporations who are the biggest corruptors of society and mercilessly bankrupt them. You will hear sniveling about the workers who will lose jobs, but the most important thing is showing your capacity to deploy an economic weapon that can decimate them without violent protests, knowing full well as Americans you are the only people on earth with colonist DNA and all the tools you need to fight back if necessary. All you have to do is learn the money playbook and fend for yourself instead of relying on the bunch of lying manipulative SOBs running things today to do it for you.
Now a personal story to place all the names that people are being called in perspective. In January 1969 a friend and I landed in New Orleans. With no money, we occupied a small patch of floor in a crash pad on Bourbon Street run by the owner of Stark Realities, a head shop with some space in the back. There I met a Brit from London, England who traveled to New Orleans to study Jazz at the Preservation Hall. Back then Cie Frazier, Louis Nelson, Jim Robinson, the Humphrey brothers, and Kid Sheik Colar were mainstays. He and I acted as roadies for the band when they did a bus tour of a number of cities. Because we were broke, a number of the band members suggested we eat at Busters. Black-eyed peas and rice was 25 cents if I remember. The point of the story was the fact that back then segregation still occurred and when two whites went into Buster's all black establishment to eat, we looked like trouble makers. After what seemed like a long time sitting at a table and being ignored, I piped up and asked what a person had to do to get service there. Everyone looked at Buster who was behind the counter. Buster came out holding a stout table leg slapping it on his open palm asking if we were looking for trouble. At that point we explained the guys from Preservation Hall sent us over, and a little bit about who we were. We were slightly known at the time, and I remember Buster saying something to the effect of “Why didn’t you say so?” Buster offered us a drink of “apple joose” that we could not afford, but which turned out to be whiskey. Buster may not have been licensed to sell booze at the time so apple juice must have been a code word for his customers. In any case the real story is the fact that neither of us was prejudiced against anyone of color and we had no real understanding of segregation other than hearing about it. Buster’s customers must have been surprised about people that dumb, but it is what it is. To me, racism has to be learned, people are not born with it.
Railing on, calling out names, denigrating people who have suffered at the hands of a poorly managed system, all for the purpose of making a buck and shutting down demand for things to get better is not what a society is about. Hoping the people who have been in charge, corrupting every aspect of it over the years they have had control has to come to an end. You are the ones to do it, and not the clowns who have been at it for many years.
America is
underpinned by citizens of great spirit and character. Somehow, that
spirit has been bamboozled to sleep. The economy under Trump has moved
ahead greatly, and there are a few things that he fixed that made that
happen. However the opposition to Trump is so great that if his enemies
have their way they will screw it up again. That is not an
argument to vote for Trump, it is an observable fact that there is
significant opportunity in trying new things.
